10 Days of Prayer
A 10-day prayer guide was written by members of the International Prayer Council to facilitate a season of prayer between May 1, 2008 and May 10, 2008 (Global Day of Prayer - Pentecost). See www.globaldayofprayer.com for translations available in a number of languages. Millions of Christians the world over will be praying these prayers.
How to Use This Prayer Guide
 |
1. |
Ground your prayers in Scripture. Consider how the verse from the Book of Acts provides basis to pray with boldness for the daily prayer emphasis. For example, on Day Six, the Scripture “the promise is for you and your children...” gives support and focus for united prayer for what God intends to bring forth for young people all over the world. Check the biblical exposition for each day at waymakers.org/tenday. You’ll find more details about how each day’s Scripture selection can guide and empower united prayer. |
 |
| 2. |
Make the prayers specific. The daily topics provide a starting point. Do some research and make a list of specific prayer points that pertain to the people of your community and are related to the topic of the day. |
